Events

As usual the Tower will be open to the public every Sunday from the first Sunday in May through to the Last Sunday in October. Normal opening times are from 11am to 4pm, free of charge, donations welcome. The museum will also be open to coincide with most Airfield events, although access will be via the pay gates.

We will be happy to open at any other time by appointment, please contact us. Group bookings welcome. Refreshments are normally available. On event weekends come and visit our Barbecue and new tea room, all run by volunteers and all proceeds to our Charity fund.

Tower events

Operation Render - 25th May 2008

‘Operation Render’ organised jointly by Rougham Tower Association and Suffolk Military Vehicle Trust will take place at the tower on Sunday, May 25th to mark the 65th anniversary of the 94th Bomb Group’s arrival at Station 468 and to raise funds towards the re-rendering of the tower’s exterior. The event will be open to the public from 10.00am - 5.00pm (adults: £3 children up to 16 free.)
A service of remembrance and a rededication of the memorial will take place at 11.00am with a USAF Honour Guard and a guest of honour to lay a wreath.
Throughout the day the area around the tower will be turned back to 1943 with wartime vehicles, uniforms and music providing the atmosphere. Visitors will be able to view the Association’s AAF displays in the tower and adjacent buildings, ‘take tea’ in the restored radar repair building or wander amongst the display of military vehicles on the field.

We meet on the last Tuesday of the month at 8pm, in the Radio Room. You don’t have to be a member to come and meet us and find out what we do.
