These are the aircraft flown by the groups stationed at Rougham. (NB: 'Sp' in the image text refers to speed in MPH. 'S' is wingspan, 'L' is length; both in feet/inches)
B-17 This is the aircraft flown by the 94th Bomb Group. B-17s are large four-engined bombers, with a ten-man crew. It carried 6,400lb of bombs and was defended by ten or twelve .50 calibre machine guns. B-26 The 322nd Bomb group flew these B-26 aircraft. Smaller than B-17s, the twin-engined bomber proved valuable in service. It carried a crew of seven men an up to 4,000lb of bombs. its defence was eleven .50 calibre machine guns. |  |
